A few of my favorite things
Everyone who reads this blog knows I love cupcakes. I also love strawberries. So it was only natural to combine the two. This is my new favorite cupcake recipe.

Is that the Strawberry Meringue Buttercream recipe? I've tried that one twice -- once it turned out fine, once it turned out like soup. You'll have to tell me how you did it! Those cupcakes look gorgeous!
Yeah it's the meringue buttercream. This is actually the first time I've made any kind of meringue buttercream and have it not look like soup. I used a meringue powder instead of egg whites. The lady at the baking store here in Salem said that helps stabilize it.
Can you send me merengue powder? Just kidding. We always need it for sugar skulls for a Day of the Dead celebration we do. Those cupcakes look really really good!
