I thought this particular David Bowie reference was appropriate for what has been going on with our lives lately. Josh and I are taking some big steps into adulthood.
We bought a car a couple of weeks ago! The old Honda just wasn't cutting it anymore. We were having problems with the

battery, and it seemed like every time we went in to get an oil change there was something new wrong with it. So we decided to get something a little more reliable. Our new car is an '02 Toyota Camry. When we got it, the car only had 75,000 mi

les on it. We took it for a test drive to La Grande last weekend for Easter. The mix of cruise control, plenty of space, and Harry Potter on audiobook made the trip MUCH more pleasant than anything with the Honda. This car didn't die a few miles outside of Pendleton (like the Honda did at one in the mor

ning!
The trip to La Grande was fun. We hadn't seen Afton since Christmas and she has grown so much since then! We don't have any other pictures of the trip except for a few adorable pictures of our niece, so I thought I would share one of my favorites. After Easter dinner we drove home in the luxury of our new car.

Since we've been back, nothing very exciting has happened. Josh has been busy with work, I've been busy watching entire seasons of America's Next Top Model, and the kitties have been busy torturing me.
We did plant a garden today. We have been talking about starting a garden for a while now. Since the weather is starting to warm up,

we thought today would be perfect! We're growing tomatoes, strawberries, bell peppers, herbs (rosemary, chives, and cilantro), and a few mums to add some color to our quaint little "garden". I can't wait until the strawberries start to come out! This summer is going to be delicious!
P.S. This is not a real frog. It's a plastic frog that one of our younger neighbors must have dropped. We thought it made a nice accent to our strawberry pla

nts.
